I have over a decade experience of studying and teaching different styles of yoga.
I am dedicated to Ayurveda and how we can use the science of life to learn about ourselves as nature and the relation between our health and the wellbeing of the Earth.
Recently I am diving into Feminine/womb yoga and find myself passionate about using yogic movement as a means to get deeper into the healing, nurturing and celebration of the feminine body.
I hold a master in India-science and is also educated from the Writers Academy of Norway. I have always been doing music, and so mantra, words and sound are finding a natural way into what I am doing.
When not playing or teaching elsewhere, I work at YogaHuset at Nesodden, Norway. In my classes I focus on presence, acceptance and flow in order to balance the energies and create connection and love with ourselves and everything around us. I experiences yoga as a holistic practice that unites the opposites and helps us re-member ourselves as whole.
Why yoga?
Yoga means to “join” - “to connect”. In everything that I do I am searching for connection. With ourselves, with those around us, with nature, with mother Earth. I belive this is what is needed now. And it can happen through our bodies and our breaths and the connection between them!
Inspiration and gratitude:
Among several wonderful teachers I have been studying Yin yoga with Biff Mithhoefer and Cecile Roubaud, Vinyasa Yoga with John Bentham, Yoga therapy with Donna Farahi, Womb yoga with Uma Dinsmore Tuli, and Ayurveda and Kundalini yoga with Uma Inder. I have also been doing several silent retreats within the Hridaya Yoga tradition with the wonderful teacher Sajahananda. An other great source of inspiration is Aisha Salem - whos´s presence I am looking forward to sit more in.
